I am the CEO of Acumino, where we build scalable physical AI for industrial automation, redefining what is possible with ultraflexible robotics and industry 5.0.

I also direct the New Dexterity research group, which has spent the past decade pushing the frontiers of robot learning, dexterous, robust robotic hands and intelligent manipulation systems. I am also the Founder of OpenBionics, an initiative that has lowered the barrier to advanced bionic limbs for people who need them, and the Founder of the Humanoid Olympiad, an international event focusing on the latest developments of humanoids robots through expert talks, debates, and real-world demonstrations.

Academically, I serve as an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Auckland and as an Associate Professor at the National Technical University of Athens. My research interests span robot learning, robotic grasping and manipulation, robot grippers and hands, prosthetics, exoskeletons and human augmentation devices, soft robotics, and the broader question of what it takes to give machines real-world physical competence.
